Vanity City

Something I had been working on since high school, Vanity City was my answer to the artificial-reality question raised by Megazone 23. However, a number of things have conspired to make sure I can’t write this story without drastically re-envisioning it in the process. First, much of the “advanced” technology I described is now commonplace. Second, The Matrix has already dealt with the world-is-not-as-it-seems scenario effectively and popularly. My story would now appear even more derivative than it already was.

However, I had voluminous notes and outlines—some of the last that I wrote out by hand. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost everything that I had transcribed into electronic form.
